Peshawar, Buner, Swat (News Reporter, Crime Reporter, Express Correspondents) Due to the recent cloudburst, rains and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 365 people have died and 118 have been injured in different districts so far. The highest loss of life and property occurred in Buner, where 225 people lost their lives. According to the report issued by the PDMA on loss of life and property, 294 men, 14 women and 30 children were among the dead, while 144 men, 27 women and 10 children were among the injured. A total of 782 houses were damaged due to rains and flash floods, of which 433 houses were partially and 349 houses were completely collapsed. These accidents occurred in the districts of Swat, Buner, Bajaur, Mansehra, Shangla, Lower Dir, Bangram and Swabi. In the difficult and remote mountainous area of ​​Gadun Amazai in Swabi district, 21 bodies were recovered from houses destroyed by cloudburst, lightning, landslides and heavy rocks falling from the mountain in the village of Walori Bala, 21 bodies were recovered by Tuesday evening, and the funeral prayers of all the martyrs have been offered. The deceased include the famous spearman (Mukh Nar) Saudi youth Anwar Zeb, his wife and two children, as well as 13 family members. Anwar Zeb was due to return to Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Several houses collapsed due to black clouds, lightning and flash floods at 7:30 am on Monday. According to Rescue Swabi, 21 bodies have been recovered from the debris in Dalori Bala and four from Sar Koi Payan. The search for other missing persons is ongoing in Walori Bala. The body of a young man, Talha, who died after being swept away in a flash flood in Karnal Sher Khan Kale was recovered. The search for 17 missing persons is ongoing in Shangla after the flash flood. Rescue 1122, local volunteers, Al-Khidmat Foundation, administration and local people are walking for five to six hours to reach the victims to deliver basic food to the remote affected areas. Agricultural land, gardens, houses, shops, residential houses, infrastructure and government properties have been severely damaged in the remote areas of Pooran, the most affected area in Shangla. Rescue operations are underway in Bay May Darra, Bishoni and Pir Baba areas of the flood-affected Tehsil of Grezi in Buner. Five more bodies were recovered from different areas on Tuesday. Several people are still missing. Rescue teams, welfare organizations and the local people are searching for them. Volunteers from the political party affiliates have reached different areas in large numbers to provide food and drink to the victims. Relief items are being delivered from different parts of the country through trucks and small vehicles. Yesterday, Provincial Agriculture Minister Major (retd) Muhammad Sajjad Bar Kawal, Secretary Agriculture Anbar Ali Khan, Director General Agriculture Extension Murad Ali Khan, senior officials of Water Management, Crop Reporting Services and Soil Conservation visited Pir Baba and Malikpur and assessed the damage to crops and gardens due to the flood. According to PDMA, the rains are likely to continue intermittently till August 21. The administration of the affected districts has been directed to intensify relief activities and provide immediate assistance to the victims.
