Peshawar (News Reporter) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority has prepared a preliminary report on the loss of life as well as official financial losses due to the recent rains in the province. Under which 385 people have died and 182 have been injured in different districts so far. Official property has suffered a loss of Rs 20 billion. The dead from the flood include 299 men, 52 women and 34 children while the injured include 145 men, 27 women and 10 children. The total number of deaths in the most affected district of Buner has reached 228 and in Swabi 41. According to the report, these accidents have occurred in different districts of the province: Swat, Buner, Bajaur, Mansehra, Shangla, Lower Dir and Battagram, Swabi. In which the highest number of 214 government properties were destroyed in District 58 Battagram. 97 in Swat, 65 in Bajaur and Mansehra government buildings have been badly damaged. 370 educational institutions, including 58 schools, have been completely damaged while 312 have been partially damaged. Along with this, 83 major and minor roads and 10 bridges leading to these areas have been completely destroyed. In the report issued on the recent floods, 226 irrigation channels and 68 water supply schemes have been affected in these areas and districts. In this report, the Irrigation Department has suffered a loss of more than Rs 10.32 billion and 8 million. Similarly, the C&W Department has suffered a loss of Rs 3.43 billion and 8 million. The Education Department has suffered a loss of Rs 1.44 billion and 9 million. Public Health Engineering has suffered a loss of Rs 21.7 million. In this regard, it has also been informed that this report has been sent to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur.
