Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 102 runs in the fifth match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
In the match played in Rawalpindi, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and elected to bat against Peshawar Zalmi.
Playing first, Islamabad United scored 243 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan played an innings of 106 runs, completing his century in 49 balls, which included 13 fours and 4 sixes.
Apart from them, Colin Munro scored 40 and Salman Agha scored 30 runs.
Joseph and Hussain Talat took 2 wickets each for Peshawar Zalmi.
Chasing a target of 244 runs, Peshawar Zalmi was bundled out for 141 runs and the entire team was dismissed in the 19th over.
Muhammad Haris stood out for Peshawar Zalmi with 87 runs. Apart from them, no batsman could stay on the wicket.
Captain Babar Azam could score one run, Saim Ayub scored 6 runs, Hussain Talat played an innings of 13 runs.
For Islamabad United, Imad Wasim took 3 wickets, Shadab Khan and Ben Duvarshi took 2 wickets each.
This was the second match of both teams in the event, Islamabad United now has 4 points while Peshawar Zalmi is waiting for a win.
Peshawar Zalmi was defeated by Quetta Gladiators in the first match.
