Pakistan defeated in the third ODI as well, New Zealand clean sweeps

In the third and final ODI played at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand outclassed Pakistan to complete a clean sweep of the series.


Pakistan Vs New Zealand Third ODI 5/4/25:

Chasing a target of 265 runs set by New Zealand, Pakistan's batting failed once again and the entire team was bowled out for 221 runs in the 40th over, New Zealand winning the match by 43 runs.

For Pakistan, Abdullah Shafiq and Babar Azam gave the team a good start of 73 runs, but then no big partnership could be formed and except for Babar Azam, no player could score 50 runs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan played an innings of 37 runs while Abdullah Shafiq and Tayyab Tahir played an innings of 33 runs each.

For New Zealand, Ben Sears took 5 and Jacob Duffy took 2 players, one wicket each went to Michael Bracewell, Mohammad Abbas and Daryl Mitchell.

Earlier, New Zealand batted first in a match affected by a wet outfield due to rain and scored 264 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 42 overs.

Kiwi captain Michael Bracewell stood out by scoring 59 runs, while Akif Javed took 4 and Naseem Shah took two wickets for Pakistan.

Abdullah Shafiq and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan, but Imam-ul-Haq retired hurt after being hit in the face by a fielder's ball while batting at the beginning of the innings.

Pakistan has scored 59 runs without losing a wicket in 13 overs, Abdullah Shafiq is on 26 and Babar Azam is on 25 runs.

It should be noted that New Zealand has a decisive two-nil lead in the three-match ODI series.
