Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has said that Israel is not a country but has occupied the land of Palestine, and if anyone is thinking of recognizing Israel, they should put it out of their minds.
A Million March was organized in Karachi under the auspices of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. The protesters strongly condemned Israeli atrocities and demanded immediate practical measures from Muslim rulers and the United Nations.
Addressing the march, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the Israeli Prime Minister is in danger from Pakistan, the rulers of Muslim countries should come out of slavery.
He said that the people have encouraged the Palestinian people, they will stand with the Palestinian people until the last drop of blood, they will have to stand up against Israel like a flood, Israel is not a country, but it has occupied the land of Palestine.
He said that America and Europe have taken their stand in favor of the oppressor, and today's gathering has sent a message that the oppressed Palestinians are not alone, even the martyrdom of 60,000 people in Gaza could not wake up the rulers, the Muslim Ummah will have to stand up regardless of the rulers.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that propaganda is being spread that the Palestinians sold their land to the Jews, in 1917, Jews lived on only 2 percent of the area, then how can it be said that Palestine sold its land? In 1948, Jews lived on only six percent of the area in Palestine.
The JUI chief said that if anyone is thinking of recognizing Israel, then get it out of their mind, establishing economic relations with Israel will not be easy for anyone, the International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel is a war criminal, the Israeli Prime Minister said that the biggest threat to us is from Pakistan.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also announced a Palestine march in Lahore on April 27.
