Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah retires from international cricket


Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah Riaz has announced his retirement from international cricket.


Mahmudullah, who was recently part of the Bangladesh squad in the ICC Champions Trophy and after the team was eliminated from the group stage, announced his retirement on social media on Wednesday.

In his retirement message, Mahmudullah thanked his teammates, coaches, fans and family who supported him throughout his career.

He wrote that he has decided to retire from international cricket. He also expressed his best wishes for Bangladesh cricket.

It should be recalled that Mahmudullah made his international debut in 2007 and represented Bangladesh in 50 Tests, 239 ODIs and 141 T20Is.

Mahmudullah scored a total of over 11,000 runs in all formats, including 9 centuries and 56 half-centuries, while he also took 166 wickets.
